Provenance. Prénom dérivé de Wandrille. Vient du germain "wan et drillen" Signifie: "espoir et faire tourner" Se fête le 22 juillet.
Histoire. Parent du maire du palais d'Austrasie Wandrille occupe de hautes fonctions à la cour de Clotaire II. Marié contre son gré par son père, il se sépare de sa femme , le lendemain de ses noces, pour réaliser sa vocation: se faire moine. Bien que le roi Dagobert en fut furieux Wandrille se fait ordonné prêtre à Rouen et fonde le monastère de la Fontenelle en 649. Vers le Xème siècle, La Fontanelle deviendra saint Wandrille.
Caractère. Leur volonté est inébranlable et leurs principes moraux très rigoureux. Ils sont tolérants, voire indulgents. Fiers de leur personne, assez orgueilleux, courageux et déterminés, ce sont des passionnés. Ils s'intéressent à tout ce qui touche à la spiritualité. Ceci ne les empêche pas d'être pragmatiques. L'amour est pour eux un sentiment grave avec lequel on ne badine pas. Ce sont plutôt des solitaires, mais qui restent toujours ouverts et accueillants.
