Provenance. Forme anglo-saxonne de Benjamin. Vient de l'hébreu "ben yamin" Signifie : "fils de la droite" Se fête le 31 mars.
Histoire. Diacre dynamique et efficace, Benjamin fait des ravages parmi les fidèles de Zarathoustra, en Perse, au Vème siècle. L'autorité religieuse s'en émeut, ordonne son arrestation et le jette en prison. A sa libération, deux ans plus tard, il redouble d'ardeur. Cette fois, c'en est trop. Benjamin est jugé et comdamné à mort. Il subira le supplice du pal, en 422.
Caractère. De nature plutôt réservée, ils préfèrent la tranquillité à la vie trépidante. Ils sont précis, méthodiques, voire maniaques. Ce sont des calmes, adorant la lecture et la musique. Assez casaniers, ce sont d'excellents pères de famille, attentifs aux enfants et à leur éducation. Intelligents et curieux, ils s'intéressent à tout.
