Provenance. Forme espagnole de Blaise. Vient du latin "blaesus", signifie "bègue" Se fête le 3 février.
Histoire. Saint Blaise est évêque en Arménie, au IVème siècle. Il ne supporte pas le luxe lié à sa fonction et se retire dans une grotte, où il vit en ermite entouré d'animaux sauvages. Capturé, puis décapité, il meurt martyr en 316, ayant refusé d'apostasier. De nombreux miracles lui sont attribués. C'est le patron des cardeurs.
Caractère. Ce sont de grands rêveurs, imaginatifs qui fuient facilement la réalité. Intelligents, posés et discrets, ils mènent une vie simple et indépendante. Très intuitifs, ils jugent rapidement les êtres et les choses. Peu ambitieux, casaniers, ils consacrent beaucoup de temps à la vie familiale.
