Provenance. Forme anglo-saxonne d'Agathe. vient du grec "Agathos", signifie "bon" Se fête le 5 février.
Histoire. Sainte Agathe vécut en Sicile au IIIème siècle. Elle était jeune, belle et vierge. Un "jaloux" la fit arrêter sous prétexte qu'elle était chrétienne. Un juge sadique lui fit couper les seins ; puis des bourreaux lui déchirèrent le corps avec des griffes d'acier et la firent mourir en la mettant sur des charbons ardents. Jamais, elle ne renia sa foi. Quel courage ! C'est la patronne des nourrices.
Caractère. Ce sont des femmes volontaires qui ne changent pas d'avis, car elles ont des certitudes. D'une sensibilité à fleur de peau, elles font parfois preuve d'autoritarisme pour se préserver. Discrètes, d'apparence indolente, elles n'en sont pas moins obstinées et arrivent toujours à leurs fins, à leur rythme.Elles ont du tact et de la délicatesse.
