Provenance. Diminutif anglo-saxon d'Abigaïl. Prénom d'origine hébraïque, Signifie : "Dieu est ma joie" Se fête le 29 décembre.
Histoire. Personnage biblique, Abigaïl, épouse de Nabal, vécut à Karmel, au royaume de Juda, dix siècles avant Jésus Christ. Elle porte secours à David et lui prédit une grand avenir. Ebloui par toutes ses qualités, le roi l'épouse après la mort de Nabal.
Caractère. De tempérament indépendant, ce sont des hommes pleins d'énergie. Très imaginatifs, créatifs, ils s'adaptent facilement aux situations nouvelles. Ils aiment l'aventure, l'imprévu, il faut que ça bouge. Leur manque de patiente est leur point faible. Généreux, accueillants, ils rendent service sans compter.
