Provenance. Prénom dérivé de Reine. Vient du latin "regina", signifie : "reine" Se fête le 7 septembre ou 3 janvier.
Histoire. Gina est diminutif de "Régina" qui signifie "Reine", en latin. Cependant, certains auteurs l'affecte à Geneviève et dans ce cas on la fête le 3 janvier. -Martyre des premiers siècles, vénérée en Côte-d'Or, on ne sait rien sur cette sainte. Il existe une deuxième sainte Reine considérée comme la fondatrice de Denain, dans le Nord, et que l'on célèbre localement le 1er juillet.
Caractère. Susceptibles, coléreuses, quelque peu instables, elles ne sont pas faciles à vivre. Fières, d'apparence hautaine, ce sont des femmes énergiques et courageuses que rien n'arrête. Elles sont travailleuses, mais leur dispersion émousse leur efficacité. Velléitaires plus que volontaires, elles ne vont pas toujours jusqu'au bout de ce qu'elles entreprennent. Elles changent facilement d'amis au gré de leurs coups de coeur. Leur moralité dépend des événements et des circonstances.
