Provenance. Forme germanique d'Henri. Vient du germain "heim et rik" Signifie : "maison et roi" Se fête le 13 juillet.
Histoire. Henri II fut couronné empereur d'Allemagne en 1002. Pendant son règne, il favorisa la paix et développa le christianisme. Dévoué au Pape, il crée l'archevêché de Bamberg dont la cathédrale contient son tombeau. A sa mort en 1024 et sur ses conseils, sa femme Cunégonde distribue tout ce qu'elle possède et consacre sa vie au service des pauvres et à la prière.
Caractère. Une main de fer dans un gant de velours. Sous des apparences douces et calmes, ils cachent une volonté de fer et le goût du pouvoir. Intelligents, sûrs d'eux, ils ont tendance à abuser de leur pouvoir de séduction. Leur morale est un peu élastique en fonction de leurs intérêts. Attentifs, généreux, très organisés, discrets, élégants, ils ont aussi le goût du luxe.
