Provenance. Prénom d'origine hébraïque. Signifie: "arbre" Se fête le 15 février.
Histoire. Le prénom "Ilan", peu usité en France, est très répandu en Israël. Dans le calendrier juif, il comporte une fête particulière, le 15 février, qui consiste à célébrer le nouvel an des arbres. A cette occasion, on rassemble sur la table le maximum d'espèces différentes de fruits et tous les écoliers du pays sont incités à planter de jeunes arbres.
Caractère. Peu expansives, relativement timides, elles préfèrent observer plutôt qu'agir. Emotives, très attentives, sensibles, elles redoutent le monde extérieur qui empièterait sur leur jardin secret. Affectueuses, elles sont fidèles et honnêtes. Leur morale est très rigoureuse. Elles ont horreur des gens qui parlent fort et qui gesticulent, mais apprécient l'élégance et la discrétion.
