Provenance. Forme médiévale d'Isabelle, dérivée d'Elisabeth. Vient de l'hébreu "el, isha et beth" Signifie : "Dieu protège ma maison" Se fête le 22 février.
Histoire. Isabelle de France, née en 1225, est la soeur du roi Louis IX, dit saint Louis. Elle refuse de se marier avec Conrad, fils de l'empereur Frédéric II pour fonder un monastère de clarisses, à Longchamps, près de Paris. Elle y prend le voile et sa vie sera un exemple de sainteté. Elle meurt en 1270. Iseult est l'héroïne de la légende celtique "Tristan et Iseult" .
Caractère. Ce sont des passionnées qui se lancent dans l'action à corps perdu. Mais elles n'agissent pas à la légère et prennent le temps de la réflexion. Elles possèdent une grande maîtrise d'elles-mêmes et préfèrent commander plutôt qu'être commandées. Leur détermination les rend parfois agressives. Elles réagissent au quart de tour. Très volontaires, intransigeantes, elles sont cependant généreuses et se donnent totalement pour une cause juste.
