Provenance. Diminutif d'Adeline et dérivé d'Adèle. Vient du germain "Ada " Signifie: "Noble" Se fête le 20 octobre
Histoire. Aline est première abbesse du monastère des bénédictines, fondé à Mortain dans la Manche, en 1115, par le comte Guillaume de Mortain. En raison de la couleur de leurs habits, on appelait ces religieuses les "dames blanches". Adeline est la soeur de Saint Vital qui fonda également un monastère dans la région d'Avranches où leurs reliques sont vénérées.
Caractère. Fières, d'un abord un peu hautain, ce sont des femmes très actives qui ne restent jamais en place. Intuitives, elles ont le goût de la fantaisie et ont horreur des habitudes acquises. Leur forte sensibilité les rend parfois instables. Discrètes, délicates et gentilles, elles sont exclusives et se donnent avec passion.
