Provenance. Prénom dérivé de Livia. Vient de Livius, Nom d'une illustre famille romaine. Se fête le 13 novembre.
Histoire. Née en Italie, en 1864, Livia quitte difficilement sa famille alors qu'elle est encore adolescente, pour rentrer dans les ordres. Après son noviciat, elle s'en va soigner les malades dans un hôpital de Rome. Pendant sept ans, elle oeuvre avec humilité auprès de malades incurables. Livia est assassinée par l'un de ses malades le 13 novembre 1894, seulement âgée de 30 ans. Tout Rome s'émeut. Son sacrifice la rend très populaire. Elle est béatifiée par Paul VI en 1972.
Caractère. Ce sont des femmes de caractère, persuadées qu'elles ont toujours raison. Eternelles insatisfaites, elles recherchent la nouveauté. Assez patientes, il leur arrive cependant de "piquer" de bonnes colères, mais ne sont pas rancunières Ce sont des compagnes agréables, prêtes à rendre service. Elles sont sentimentales et s'orientent souvent vers les métiers de l'éducation.
