Provenance. Vient du celte "maël" Signifie : "prince, seigneur" Se fête le 13 mai.
Histoire. Chassé du pays de Galles par les hordes saxonnes, Maël débarque en Armorique avec de nombreux moines. Il participe à la christianisation du pays et y meurt saintement au Vème siècle. Plusieurs villages bretons portent son nom comme Maël-Carhaix, Coat-Maël, Maël-Pestivien etc.
Caractère. Ce sont généralement des caractères forts. Leur grande émotivité les rend parfois coléreuses. Elles ont tendance à se replier sur elles-mêmes devant le danger. Intelligentes, réfléchies, elles n'agissent qu'après réflexion. Elles n'attachent que peu d'importance aux choses matérielles. Elles sont discrètes et ne cherchent pas à briller futilement. Ce sont des êtres vrais, solides, qui vivent avec des principes moraux qu'elles respectent scrupuleusement.
