Provenance. Forme Anglaise de Marguerite. Vient du grec " margaritês ", signifie : " perle " Se fête le 16 novembre.
Histoire. Née en 1046 en Hongrie, fille d'un prince anglais en exil, elle revient vivre à la cour d'Angleterre et épouse le roi écossais Malcolm III. Elle eut huit enfants dont deux futurs saints, Mathilde et David. Attentive à son devoir de reine, elle réforme l'Eglise d'Ecosse, rapproche le clergé avec celui de Rome, fonde des abbayes et meurt au château d'Edimbourg le 16 novembre 1093.
Caractère. Il est difficile de résister à leur charme. Ce sont des "femmes-enfants" amusantes et sensibles qu'on a envie de protéger. D'humeur inégale, elles passent facilement de l'enthousiasme à l'abattement. Quelque peu capricieuses, elles ne sont pas toujours faciles à vivre. Elles fonctionnent aux compliments mais, assez susceptibles, elles s'enferment parfois dans la "bouderie".
