Provenance. Vient du latin "severus" Signifie : "rigoureux, exigeant" Se fête le 1er février.
Histoire. Esclave converti au christianisme, Séver gagne à sa foi son maître et toute sa famille, dans le Cotentin, au VIIème siècle. Affranchi, il se consacre à Dieu et se retire dans un ermitage. Les gens venus se placer sous sa direction spirituelle le décident à fonder un monastère, puis à accepter le gouvernement du diocèse d'Avranches.
Caractère. Ils sont volontaires, courageux et font preuve d'une grande persévérance pour atteindre le but qu'ils se sont fixé. Ce sont des perfectionnistes. De tempérament calme, ils prennent le temps de la réflexion avant l'action. Accueillants, bavards, ils recherchent les contacts. Ce sont des hommes qui réussissent grâce à leur flair et qui ont le sens des affaires et de l'argent. Ils sont anxieux et se réfugient dans une intense activité.
