Provenance. Vient du grec "markitos" Signifie : "voué au dieu Mars" Se fête le 25 avril.
Histoire. Saint Marc nous a laissé un Evangile. Bien qu'il n'était pas du nombre des apôtres, c'était un familier des premiers chrétiens à Jérusalem. Les apôtres se réunissaient souvent chez lui, notamment Pierre qui devint son ami et son protecteur. Il accompagna saint Paul dans ses prédications puis, à son tour, partit évangéliser Alexandrie où il fut martyrisé sous Trajan. C'est le saint patron de Venise où ses reliques se trouvent aujourd'hui.
Caractère. De forte personnalité, maîtres d'eux-mêmes en toute circonstance, ils veulent sans cesse se dépasser. Réfléchis, lucides, ils ne portent jamais de jugement à la légère. Volontaires, sérieux, parfois graves, ils savent aussi être gais et se détendre franchement. Leur humour est caustique. Ce sont des amis sûrs, fidèles, mais exigeants. Leur morale est stricte et rigoureuse.
