Provenance. Vient du grec "markitos" Signifie : "voué au dieu Mars" Se fête le 22 mai.
Histoire. Saint Marcan figure parmi les saints bretons. Né en 419, Marcan est l'un des disciples de saint Briec ou Brieux, en Armorique. Il termine ses jours au lieu dit depuis saint Marcan dans les côtres d'Armor. On ne sait rien sur sa vie.
Caractère. De forte personnalité, maîtres d'eux-mêmes en toute circonstance, ils veulent sans cesse se dépasser. Réfléchis, lucides, ils ne portent jamais de jugement à la légère. Volontaires, sérieux, parfois graves, ils savent aussi être gais et se détendre franchement. Leur humour est caustique. Ce sont des amis sûrs, fidèles, mais exigeants. Leur morale est stricte et rigoureuse.
